The remote required stripping down to it's internals allowing me to trace the circuit tracks in order to by-pass the buttons. Taking it apart wasn't a problem and it all became clear what had to be done after a short while studying the board layout. The hardest part was actually soldering on the wires to which the connector would go. Due to the size of the soldered joints I had to be careful not to rip the tracks from the board, or heat it to much.
